Emmanuel Agbadou points the finger after Wolves’ loss to Manchester United

Emmanuel Agbadou has struggled at times this season, but he’s started to improve in recent times at Molineux.

It’s closing in on Christmas and Wolves are still yet to secure their first win in the Premier League.

Everything is going wrong that could possibly go wrong. The Old Gold have conceded the most goals in the top-flight and found the back of the net the least amount of times.

What do you make of Rob Edwards calling for more support of the players after the Man United loss?

Emmanuel Agbadou has come into his own under Rob Edwards, but the team as a whole have struggled.

Wolves will have to make do without him over the next month or so too, once the Arsenal clash is out of the way, as Agbadou is heading to the African Cup of Nations.

Edwards will be forced into turning to someone like Santiago Bueno, or he could even opt to switch to a back-four in search of a first win.

Emmanuel Agbadou places the blame on missed chances vs Man United

Given the 33 goals Wolves have already shipped this season, it’s going to take at least two goals a game on average from the Old Gold to even stand a chance of getting a point.

This is something that Emmanual Agbadou highlighted after the loss to Manchester United.

He believes that the lack of cutting edge in front of goal was the reason for the struggles at Molineux last time out, despite conceding four goals.

Speaking to Wolves, here’s what he had to say.

“We didn’t finish the few chances we had. That’s it.

“If we want to win a match, we have to be able to put away the chances we get, and they were sharper than us. That is what made the difference.

“Now we’re going to go back to the training ground and try to work on what we’re missing.”

Does Emmanuel Agbadou’s statement have much substance?

Of course, goals win you game, but the fact that Wolves had conceded four goals doesn’t offer much hope in any game. Especially when Jorgen Strand Larsen has struggled this season.

Was the reaction to JSL being substituted vs Man United warranted? 🤔

It was certainly not a good evening for the Norwegian

One of the biggest issues for Wolves has been the sheer amount of unforced errors. Use Man United’s first goal for example, when Andre gets dispossessed facing his own goal.

You simply cannot win games if you’re always chasing.

It’s more of a collective issues in all areas of the field that require improvements. There are very few players who can hold their heads high so far this season.
