David Moller Wolfe gives honest answer on if he is settling in at Wolves after Chelsea display

David Moller Wolfe’s start to life at Wolves has not gone well, but after two goals against Chelsea, the Norwegian may finally get a run of games.

The Old Gold were on the wrong side of a seven-goal thriller against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup as they exited after a 4-3 defeat at Molineux.

The Wanderers went down 3-0 in the first half, and Vitor Pereira admitted it was his fault due to the number of changes in the starting XI.

Wolves’ David Moller Wolfe was part of those wholesale changes, and it marked just his first start since the 1-0 loss to Bournemouth in August.

David Moller Wolfe is settling into life at Wolves

After two successive starts at the beginning of the season against Manchester City and Bournemouth, David Moller Wolfe has found himself on the periphery of Vitor Pereira’s squad.

Besides those two starts and his 90 minutes against Chelsea, he has played just 28 minutes. Earlier in the season, Moller Wolfe admitted it was tough at Wolves; however, he insisted that when he gets his chance, he must be ready.

Meanwhile, Vitor Pereira said the Norwegian has to continue working hard, even if he is not getting the minutes he wants, as his chance would come.

That chance finally arrived, and the defender took it with both hands. He scored twice in the cup exit and has now said he is nearly fully settled.

Moller Wolfe said via Wolves, “It’s not something that I stress about, that I haven’t played as much as I wanted, because I know myself as a person. I’m a person that needs a bit of time to settle in, and now I feel like I’m almost completely settled, and of course today helps.”

While he is not fully settled into life, it will be a boost for the club that he is almost there.

The defender will now be hoping to build on his performance against Chelsea, but whether or not he starts against Fulham has left his head coach with a big decision to make.

Vitor Pereira has a selection headache for Fulham

With David Moller Wolfe scoring twice, Vitor Pereira will have the tough task of choosing between the Norwegian and Hugo Bueno.

Hugo Bueno has been one of Wolves’ better performers this season, and the Spaniard has surprised Pereira with his quality.

Bueno is still the Old Gold’s top chance creator, and with them struggling to find the net, albeit not in the last two games, that is a quality that is desperately needed.

However, on the other side, playing a defender who is able to get up into the final third and score goals could be another weapon to use against Fulham.

It is certainly not a bad problem for Vitor Pereira to have, but not one you would want to have yourself.
