Former Wolves midfielder David Edwards shared how pleased he is that Ruben Neves is still at the club.
In the Express and Star, Edwards lavished praise on the Portugal international.
Neves’ future has been a topic of conversation during the summer, but as it stands, he looks all set to remain at Molineux beyond the end of the window.
And Edwards thinks Neves just keeps on getting better and has raved about his pre-season display against Coventry.

“It’s great to see Ruben Neves still at the club,” wrote Edwards in his column.
“I think he’s been getting better every season. I watched the Coventry game, he played 45 minutes against Stoke the day before and 90 against Coventry and he was the best player on the pitch by a mile.
“He will be the biggest signing of the window if they manage to keep him. He is someone to build the team around.”
“There’s lots to work on, I’ve no idea how it’s going to play out but they definitely look more comfortable on the ball, willing to take more risks to beat the press.”

Hopefully there will be no more speculation about Neves and he can get on with the start of the season with no distractions and focus on Wolves.
Bruno Lage does want to play a passing style of football and Neves will be crucial to that.
It’s about getting the balance between technical quality and energy in the middle of the park.
But Neves staying at the club is a boost and hopefully he’s still at Molineux when the window closes.
