Former Wolves midfielder David Edwards has praised the recent form of Molineux captain Conor Coady.
Coady helped Wolves keep two clean sheets from games against Brighton and Chelsea which brought four points in recent days.
Romain Saiss’ goal at the Amex Stadium brought more headlines his way but in the Express and Star, Edwards wrote how impressed he has been with Coady.

“Wolves now boast arguably one of the best defences in the league and an excellent goalkeeper. Their standards over the last six weeks have been amazing,” said Edwards.
“They limit teams to very few chances, and the save Jose Sa made from Pulisic in the second half was a top one.
“Conor Coady is in the form of his life, Max Kilman is turning into a top, top centre-half and Romain Saiss got the winner in a good display at Brighton. When you come to a football club you want to build from strong foundations and that’s what Bruno Lage is doing.
“He knows they need to attack more – although there were more opportunities at Brighton and in the Chelsea first half – but so much effort goes into those clean sheets as a solid base.”
Coady was a stalwart of the Nuno Espirito Santo era, which was built around sitting deep and counter-attacking.
Lage has not managed to move Wolves completely away from that but did speak last week about how Coady has improved and evolved under him.
Edwards has clearly noticed that too and feels he is playing better now than he ever did under Nuno.
