Wolves fans are now starting to see the best of Andre.
The Brazilian signed for the club last summer from Fluminense in a deal worth around £21 million.
Wolves beat off competition from top clubs to get Andre, and there was definitely excitement about his particular addition.
But Andre took some time to get going at Molineux.
With the team struggling, he was unable to really stamp his authority on games, and actually did struggle to start at times under Gary O’Neil.
Famously, O’Neil said Andre struggled with the detail of the game against Manchester City back in October, after he had taken him off at half-time.
That kind of thing is unthinkable now, with Andre often the standout player under Vitor Pereira.
Dave Edwards recently hailed Andre as one of the best number sixes in the Premier League – and the former Old Gold midfield made an even bigger claim about Wolves’ new maestro.
Dave Edwards suggests Andre is better than Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho

Without a doubt, this is now the highest Andre’s stock has been since he came to Wolves.
The star seems to be dominating every game he plays, and looks an undroppable player now.
While he has not been at the club for too long, Edwards is a seriously big fan.
And he reckons he may acutally be the best player at what he does that Wolves have ever had, in a suggestion he’s even better than Ruben Neves.
He said recently on the Wolves Unpacked podcast: “I could talk about Andre all day because I just think he is, honestly, one of the best in the league at what he does, and probably the best at what he does Wolves have ever had in that central midfield area.
“We’ve had some fantastic midfielders in recent years in obviously Joao Gomes now, but Ruben and Joao Moutinho. But for what Andre does, as that holding midfielder, he is elite.
Andre looks a class act for Wolves
This is a serious compliment from Edwards for Andre, who is undoubtedly looking a class act now for Wolves.
As a former midfielder, he obviously knows better than most the demands of that position.
To suggest Andre may be even better at what he does than the likes of Neves and Moutinho is a big claim.
But you can see the quality of Andre and how he has the capacity to make the game look so simple at times, when the reality is it’s far from easy to do what he does.
Hopefully, he can continue to impress in that midfielder and Wolves fans would really like to hope this won’t be a fleeting visit for Andre.
He’ll surely have plenty of interest before long, so it’ll be very important to keep hold of him going forwards.
