Wolves made it six wins on the spin against Leicester City – and there was no doubt for Dave Edwards what his highlight of the afternoon was.
Matheus Cunha, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Rodrigo Gomes were all on target for the hosts, as Vitor Pereira’s side swept aside the sorry Foxes.
There was a huge gulf between the sides at Molineux.
Wolves were simply superior across all departments, and it was refreshing to see Wanderers winning a game they were expected to convincingly – that has not happened nearly enough in recent times.
There were many positives of the day.
Cunha played a starring role for Wolves and put in a committed performance. And Jorgen Strand Larsen equalled Raul Jimenez’s goalscoring tally in his first season at Wolves.
But for Dave Edwards, there was one moment that really stood out.
Dave Edwards loved Rodrigo Gomes’ goal and celebration vs Leicester

Rodrigo Gomes was Wolves’ first signing of the last summer window, arriving from SC Braga for around £12.7 million.
Wolves moved for the youngster, after he’d shone on loan at Estoril, for whom he played largely as a wing-back.
Regular starts have been hard to come by for Rodrigo in his first season. But that was always to be expected.
But Wolves fans have certainly seen glimpses that the 21-year-old is a serious talent and will play a big part in the future.
On Saturday, he killed the game off with the third goal. Rodrigo was very reminiscent of Pedro Neto as he surged through the middle of the pitch to latch onto the pass from Cunha, and it was a brilliant that he finished the move after starting it from a throw-in.
And the nature of the goal – and also the celebration – really struck Dave Edwards.
He said in the E&S: “Rodrigo Gomes’ goal was the highlight of the day for me. He plays with so much energy and enthusiasm, you can see how much it means to him.
“His celebration summed up what his first goal at Molineux in the Premier League meant to him. He looked like a young kid out there who had just scored for his boyhood team.
“Every youngster in the stadium watching would celebrate it in the same way. I was delighted for him, and it topped off a wonderful win.”
Rodrigo will soon explode for Wolves
It was very satisfying to see Rodrigo get his first goal at Molineux on Saturday in the win over Leicester.
And one gets the sense that every goal he scores in a Wolves shirt will feel like that.
Because the Portuguese youngster is undoubtedly a player you want to root for.
Since he’s come in, Rodrigo has given the impression he absolutely loves being where he is. In interviews he always comes across so happy and grateful.

But then on the pitch, there is perhaps not a Wolves player who plays with as much determination as him.
He always wants to make an impression, and next season we could be seeing him really come to the fore, now that he know the Premier League.
Certainly, there is potential cult hero status with this player.
