Dave Edwards was pleasantly surprised by one Wolves player in the defeat to Crystal Palace, and has now posed a question to the fanbase about his future.
Wolves lost 3-1 to Palace in Annapolis last night, but there were plenty of positives to take from the defeat.
Pedro Lima again caught the eye. Winger Chiquinho also impressed, and new striker Jorgen Strand Larsen also gave a great account of himself for the 20 minutes he was on.
It has been a really positive past month for Wolves since the players returned for pre-season.
One man who people didn’t really expect to see is Goncalo Guedes.
He did not join the squad in Marbella, but the winger did fly out to Miami following an injury to Daniel Podence.
He’s featured in both games Wolves have played in the US so far, and Edwards was impressed by him last night.
Goncalo Guedes dubbed ‘fantastic’ by Dave Edwards as he asks Wolves fans a question

Last night, Gary O’Neil gave Guedes some more minutes against Palace.
He actually started the game for Wanderers, and was replaced by Hwang Hee-chan just after the hour mark.
Guedes was lively for Wanderers and looked sharp at times.
Undoubtedly, he is a player with a lot of ability. But he just hasn’t shown that during his time at Wolves so far, with there being claims that Guedes did not really want to make the move in the first place.
But he finds himself back with the squad and O’Neil has involved him a fair bit. He also played against Bristol City before Wolves flew out to Miami.
Edwards was left really impressed by him, and has today praised the Portuguese attacker on X. He is now wondering if the tide might just be turning for the £27.5 million man.
He said: “@Wolves fans that watched the game last night…. How good was Guedes
“Is he changing opinions, jury still out or has the ship already sailed? His movement was fabulous and it just seems like Gary O’Neil has something special that makes players really want to play for him!”

It is not a question of whether Guedes is good enough to play for Wolves. He quite clearly has a lot of ability and can be a real threat.
But whether he sticks around is going to depend on him. After it was reported earlier this summer that Guedes had been placed on the transfer list, you now get the sense that O’Neil would be happy to reintegrate him if he wants to be reintegrated.
It still feels a bit unlikely at this stage that we will be seeing Guedes in a Wolves shirt next season.
But who knows. O’Neil is clearly a great person to work with and you can see how much the players love him.
Guedes has previously worked under two managers who are ‘colder’ than O’Neil in Bruno Lage and Julen Lopetegui. Perhaps the Englishman is actually just what he needs to finally make a success of his Wolves move.
