Yerson Mosquera’s two-game suspension has handed Rob Edwards a disciplinary issue to confront, and Dave Edwards feels the Wolves boss will not let it pass quietly.
The defender’s booking against West Ham United, triggered by gesturing for a yellow card, means he will now miss Wanderers’ next two fixtures.
Wolves fans, talk to us about Yerson Mosquera…
Does his ability and potential make up for the chaos he brings? What kind of level do you see him reaching? 🤔
Ultimately, it won’t matter too much, because Wolves are on the brink of going down.
But Yerson Mosquera’s suspension is still a big frustration, especially as it was so needless.
That he showed the immaturity to allow that to happen is not good, and Dave Edwards is sure that Rob Edwards will be reading the riot act to the Colombian.
Rob Edwards faces clear discipline call after Mosquera ban

Mosquera will now serve a two-game ban after his booking against West Ham. Had he got through that game without a caution, the threat would have disappeared, which makes the situation all the more frustrating.
He is now out of the games against Leeds and Tottenham Hotspur, meaning Edwards will need to reshuffle.
Dave Edwards has spoken about Mosquera’s lack of discipline in his latest E&S column, suggesting he’ll be getting a ticking off
He said: “I do think he shows flashes of ill discipline and Edwards will be furious because he touched on it before the game.”
“There’s not many games left and to miss two Premier League fixtures for gesturing for the yellow card to the referee, is really disappointing.
“Edwards will have some stern words with Mosquera behind closed doors to let him know that it’s not acceptable.
“He’s let himself down a little bit as well because playing in Premier League games is not easy and Mosquera has had to wait a long time to get this run in the team with the injuries he had last season.”
Yerson Mosquera’s disciplinary record raises longer-term concerns
This incident fits into a wider pattern that Wolves cannot ignore, with Mosquera racking up 14 yellow cards in 33 appearances for the club.
That record shows repeated lapses rather than a single mistake.

Each booking increases the risk of further suspensions and reduces consistency in selection. Wolves have already lost him for two fixtures, and similar moments will lead to more enforced absences.
Wolves now move into matches against Leeds and Spurs without a player who has started regularly, and has actually probably been one of the better players this season.
Hopefully, Mosquera will change his ways moving forward now that his antics have come into a harsher spotlight.
