Matt Jarvis has hailed Pedro Neto following his latest performance for Wolves against Tottenham Hotspur, and believes his consistent end product sets him apart from other wingers.
Wanderers enjoyed one of their best results of the season on Saturday as they beat Spurs 2-1 down in north London – with Neto shining once again.
He was the outlet for Wolves as they sought to counter, and the Portuguese forward’s pace proved a nightmare for the Tottenham players.
His assist for Joao Gomes’ second goal was brilliant. The way he broke at speed, and then cut back inside to find the midfielder for the finish, was superb.
His contributions on Saturday really impressed Wolves Women manager Dan McNamara, who lauded Neto for his consistent end product…
Dan McNamara says Pedro Neto’s end product sets him apart, just like Mo Salah

Neto’s assist on Saturday was his ninth in the Premier League and 12th in all competitions this season.
It actually saw him become the highest assist-maker ever for Wolves in the Premier League with 19.
At the moment, Neto looks like he will provide something for Wolves in the final third whenever he gets the ball.
McNamara believes that Neto’s ability to deliver in the final third is what is making him better than so many other wingers right now. It’s something he says Liverpool superstar Mo Salah has too.
In a conversation about whether Neto actually planned to pass to Gomes, he said on the Wolves Weekly podcast: “I think that’s the difference between the top, top players. Matt (Jarvis) would probably agree. The top, top players can make those decisions within a matter of seconds.
“That’s ultimately what separates the average one to the Pedro Netos. The ability that the lad has… there’s players you can probably name off the top of your head who can do all the travelling, but when they get there it’s the end product. That’s the part that counts. I’ll refer to Neto, Salah… those kind of players. That’s what separates them as the best from the rest.”
Neto’s final third effectiveness sets him apart
You get a lot of players these days that can advance the ball into promising positions, but once there the final ball is lacking.
Wolves had someone very guilty of this in Adama Traore. He is one of the fastest players in the game, but sadly often struggled with his end product at Molineux.
Neto is a player who just seems to have that knack of providing a good final ball when he gets into threatening areas.
Neto has been in English football for a while now and you can see as he’s gotten older that he is making better decisions. The assist for Gomes at the weekend is a good example of him having much greater intelligence – a younger Neto would probably have tried to shoot across the goal with his right foot.
It has been fantastic to see, and another reason why Wolves must demand a massive fee this summer if they are to sell.
