Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson delivers verdict on Wolves under Julen Lopetegui

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has branded Wolves a ‘very technical’ and ‘very talented’ side, ahead of tomorrow night’s game at Molineux.

Following the defeat to Leicester City on Saturday, Wanderers are looking to get things back on track.

The 2-1 loss at the King Power Stadium was frustrating given the way Wolves started the game. Had Wolves been able to claim another three points, that would have virtually guaranteed the club’s safety.

Now Wolves are back to six points clear of the relegation zone.

It’s still a decent gap, but one that doesn’t feel totally comfortable.

Wolves need to get back to winning ways, starting against Palace tomorrow night. And it will be a tough game.

Since Hodgson replaced Patrick Vieira, the Eagles have been much better and got some great results.

In Hodgson’s four games so far since returning, Palace have picked up 10 points.

They’re pretty much safe – and Wolves are aiming to join them on 37 points.

Speaking ahead of the game, Hodgson delivered his verdict on Wolves under Julen Lopetegui. And he was quite complimentary.

He said (via Sky Sports): “Wolves are a very technical team, a very talented team.

“There are a lot of athletic players as well. We know they are going to make life very, very difficult for us. So we have to prepare now for another match in the Premier League, another top-class Premier League opponent. We’ve got to be ready to deal with anything they throw at us.”

Wolves must throw everything at Crystal Palace, Premier League safety is within touching distance

Wolves need to come out all guns blazing against Palace tomorrow night with Molineux roaring them on.

Wanderers are so close to being safe, and one more win would be absolutely massive. Not only for Wolves, but it would crush those teams below, seeing them move further away.

A draw against Palace isn’t really ideal. That would just keep those doubts lingering for longer than they need to be.

Wolves have got to just throw the kitchen sink at Palace, and out-fight them.

In previous matches, the Eagles have out-fought Wolves. That cannot be allowed to happen tomorrow night at Molineux.
