Wolves were really unlucky not to have taken at least a point off Liverpool last weekend. The Old Gold lost 2-1 at Anfield but put in one of their best performances of the season.
Two first half goals from Luis Diaz and Mo Salah made the mountain too steep to climb, but a lot of positives can be taken.
Vitor Pereira’s starting lineup against Liverpool included Pablo Sarabia. The Spaniard put in an awful performance and will be lucky to keep his place next time out.
January signing Marshall Munetsi was named on the Wolves manager’s subs bench, but his fine display after being introduced has given his boss something to think about, and Nelson Semedo agrees.

Nelson Semedo approves of Marshall Munetsi
Munetsi was substituted on at half time for Sarabia and his introduction, along with Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s, changed the game.
Although the Reds were able to hold on to their lead despite Matheus Cunha pulling one back after 67 minutes, Munetsi did really well, and Semedo thinks his influence should see him rewarded with a start against Bournemouth.
“I think, in general, we did a good game,” Semedo told Wolves’ official website.
“I think in the first half we could have taken more risks and pressed them a little bit more like we did in the second half, because we created a lot of chances from pressing with Marshall, for example, and Cunha scored a great goal, and we had a couple more chances. So, I think we should have pressed a little bit more in the first half and took more risks.”
An honest assessment from the wing-back, who, like fans, would love to see Munetsi named alongside Andre and Joao Gomes on Saturday.
Vitor Pereira won’t have an easy decision
Clearly impressing during his second-half display at Anfield, Munetsi should be the first name on Pereira’s team sheet for next weekend’s away trip to Bournemouth.
The 28-year-old’s relentless pressing, along with his box-to-box play make him an obvious pick. Pereira won’t have an easier decision to make all season.
In contrast, Sarabia and Goncalo Guedes were Wolves’ worst players against Liverpool, and neither should start against the Cherries.
Saturday’s game at the Vitality Stadium is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. GMT but has not be selected for live broadcast in the UK.
