Colombian media drop their Jhon Arias verdict after Wolves star’s display in 3-0 win vs Bolivia

Jhon Arias has not adapted to English football as quickly as Wolves fans would have hoped.

The Colombian is a talented player and it was on full display at the most recent Club World Cup, but the transition to the Premier League has been tough.

When he arrived, he took on a big responsibility as Arias took the number 10 shirt at Wolves vacated by the departed Matheus Cunha.

However, the international break has given Arias the chance to be put into a more familiar scenario, and perhaps gain some confidence for when Premier League action returns.

And the Colombian media have given their opinion after the Wolves winger started for his nation against Bolivia.

Jhon Arias may finally be getting back to his best as the Colombian media have been full of praise for the Wolves winger after the 3-0 win against Bolivia.

Arias played 60 minutes, and according to ESPN Colombia, he gave ‘life, intensity and speed’ to the Colombian set-up.

The publication went on to give more compliments to the player, saying, ‘Jhon Arias, with his versatility, showed great dedication, playing as a slightly delayed midfielder and often in marking roles.’

‘He acted as a right winger, but also played on the left when called upon. He was a key partner for James Rodríguez and Luis Díaz, who provided an assist against Paraguay.’

It is definitely the news that Wolves fans will want to hear. It has been a tough transition so far, and hopes will be that Arias can use his national team displays and carry them over to England.

The Old Gold are in desperate need of their top attackers providing goals and assists, and Vitor Pereira will be happy with how the Colombian has done on international duty.

Jhon Arias’ performance is a good sign for Wolves

When Jhon Arias scored his first goal for Wolves in pre-season, it was a real sign of the quality he possesses.

However, in competitive action he has yet to showcase his ability, but he has worked hard, shown by the unlikely stat Arias has recorded so far at Wolves.

His performances for Colombia are signs that the player Wolves bought is still there and that he just needs to learn the intensity and physicality of English football.

Liam Keen is concerned about having to wait for Arias to adapt, but when he does, the winger will no doubt be a top player at Molineux.

Hopefully, fans of the Old Gold can take in the Arias praise and quell any worries they have of their number 10’s start to the season.
