Diego Costa scored his first goal for Wolves last weekend and is a very popular figure just at the moment.
The star put in his best display of the season against Brentford, and after the game he came in for high praise from Julen Lopetegui.

Max Kilman also had some kind words for him, as did Mario Lemina.
Costa scoring on Saturday was a lovely sight.
He has worked tremendously hard and deserved the bit of luck he got with the finish.
You could see from the celebrations just how happy all his teammates were for him.
Kilman said after the game that Costa has been quality for the dressing room since he arrived, and there definitely seems to be a strong bond now between all the players.
On this week’s Wolves weekly podcast, former Wolves Women star Claire Hakeman, was speaking about Costa and shared a bit of what she knows about the player.

Hakeman works for the club, leading on operational aspects for the women and girls’ section. So that means she’s at the training ground and notices things.
She said of Costa (via Wolves official): “He’s some player. His performance was quality on Saturday. It was great to see him finally have that impact on the game.
“Lopetegui spoke after the game about the character of Costa and what he brings to the dressing room. That’s very connected with what I see on the training ground with Matheus Cunha and Joao Gomes as well. There’s quite a nice connection. He’s quite a joker in the pack, I believe.”
Diego Costa has served as the glue for this Wolves squad
Costa may not have scored as many goals as some hoped. But he has certainly played a big role in restoring team spirit at Wolves.
So many people have sung his praises at this point. He is clearly loved in that dressing room.

Those that follow some of Wolves’ players on Instagram will see Costa popping up fairly often in photographs. There is no doubt that he is very well liked and is a big character.
Cunha is pictured quite often with Costa, and the striker seems to have also taken young Gomes under his wing.
The Brazilian connection is definitely strong and long may this vibe continue.
