Most STUPID Thing YOUR Club Could Do Right NOW

They are just three points off the top five, although the three teams above do have games in hand.

It has been a funny old season for Wolves.

The football was riveting in the first few weeks of the season, but Lage has seemingly adopted a more pragmatic approach since the first handful of defeats.

We have seen it return occasionally, but Wolves games have certainly been fairly uneventful in recent weeks.

One thing that can be said is the defence is magnificent right now, and Lage deserves huge credit for that.

Former striker Iwelumo has praised Lage and the impact he has made, and also offered some perspective.

Speaking after the 0-0 draw with Chelsea, he said: “Finding that balance between attack and defence is a difficult job for a manager, and he’s learning on the job at the moment. We can definitely see what he’s brought, there’s a defined style of football and we’re happy with it.

“If you said we’d be where we are right now before a ball was kicked at the start of the season, everyone would have snapped your hand off for it because it’s been outstanding, and I’m delighted for the boys today.”

Chris Iwelumo is right about Bruno Lage and Wolves

It is hard to find the right balance as a manager.

Lage’s tenure is still very much in its infancy, and he needs time to work things out. The fact he seems to have really cracked one part of the team (defending) is very encouraging.

And Iwelumo is also right about Wolves’ league position.

Eighth in the table after 18 games, and only three points of fifth, is good going.

Yes, the teams around Wolves have games in hand. But it has undeniably been a decent start from Lage given he’s been working with a tiny squad and had injuries.
