Wolves yesterday made their second signing of the January transfer window in the form of winger Chiquinho.
The star has joined from Portuguese outfit Estoril, with The Athletic reporting the fee will reach £4.25 million.
The player joins on a contract until 2026, and is set to work with Bruno Lage and the first-team.
The youngster has come from the same club Toti Gomes joined from in 2020. The 23-year-old, of course, made his Premier League debut on Saturday against Southampton.
Chiquinho met Gomes and posted a picture of the pair to his Instagram Story yesterday ahead of his move.
Wolves officially announced the signing of Chiquinho in the evening, with Scott Sellars describing the star as exciting and talented.
The club’s technical director also insisted Chiquinho will need time to properly integrate.
Given the large Portuguese contingent at the club, that will hopefully go nice and smoothly.
Chiquinho has conducted his first official interview with the club, and the player has also made his first post on Instagram since his arrival.
He wrote: “Very excited and proud for the opportunity to join this big club. Will always do my best for my new family! Can not wait to start this new journey and make these amazing fans happy.”
Among those to comment on the post was the Arsenal full-back Nuno Tavares, who knows him from the Portugal U21 set-up. He just left a simple heart emoji.

Chiquinho looks to be a potentially great signing for the future.
The fact he will go and work with the first-team is a sign that he is a real talent.
He probably isn’t going to feature all that much – if at all – between now and the end of the season.
As Sellars said, he needs time to bed in and get used to the surroundings at his new club.
Plus Wolves are stacked for forward options at the moment.
