Chelsea fans are all saying the same thing about former Wolves star Pedro Neto as nightmare continues

Wolves fans were heartbroken when Pedro Neto was sold to Chelsea in the summer, seeing his five-year stay at Molineux come to an end.

Neto transferred to Chelsea for £54 million, pocketing Wolves a club-record sale, which will be trumped by Matheus Cunha this summer.

The exciting Portuguese winger moved to Stamford Bridge with the hope of being adored by the fanbase, just as he was in Wolverhampton.

But, the 25-year-old’s performances have been mixed, with the former Wolves superstar struggling to deliver consistent output in wide areas.

Neto has produced just three goals and four assists in 29 Premier League appearances this term, telling of his struggles, and now Chelsea supporters have made their feelings on the winger known.

Chelsea fans label Pedro Neto as one of their ‘worst’ signings

Since he completed the switch to West London in 2024, reviews of his performances have been mixed.

In the Blues win over Leicester City in March, Chelsea fans lavished Neto’s work rate, noticing another side to his game that was prevalent at Wolves.

However, Neto has also been labelled a flop by the supporters after the 3-0 defeat to Brighton in February, with some fans now calling him one of their ‘worst ever’ signings following the draw against Ipswich Town.

The Portugal international played the full 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge but was on the receiving end of some harsh criticism.

“Pedro Neto honestly one of the worst signings under this ownership, absolute disaster,” one supporter wrote.

“Look at the space he had to take him on, Neto is the worst winger in football’s history,” another posted while a third said: “Neto is our worst winger.”

“Pedro Neto is a flop who is not talked enough,” someone wrote. “Pedro Neto was so bad. How did he play for 90 minutes,” a sixth commented.

“Pedro Neto is having a poor game—his crosses are wasteful and ineffective,” another pointed out.

Neto’s stats vs Ipswich Town were actually impressive

Although the Portuguese winger was heavily criticised by the fans, Neto’s statistics in the 2-2 draw against Ipswich paint the picture of someone who was trying to make something happen.

Neto sent a whopping nine accurate crosses into the box and made five key passes, which demonstrates his high levels of chance creation.

However, he did also lose possession a staggering 16 times, with the winger perhaps trying too hard and taking too many risks.
