Wolves youngster Ryan Giles came in for more plaudits from Cardiff City fans, after he made yet another assist for the Bluebirds.

The star was in Championship action against Preston North End on Saturday, which was his 15th appearance of the season so far.

Cardiff made a rocky start to the 2021/22 season. They recently sacked ex-Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, with Sean Morison taking over until the end of the season.

The game against Preston was his first as caretaker boss, and they managed to run out 2-1 winners.

And Giles again made an impact.

It was his corner that led to the winning goal, scored by James Collins.

That was actually Giles’ eighth assist of the season, which is a truly fantastic return from the youngster.

Before his move to Wales, technical director Scott Sellars said that Giles was one of the best young crossers of the ball in the country.

So far, the 21-year-old is absolutely living up to that hype.

Giles’ loan spell with Cardiff is undoubtedly going swimmingly.

He is a regular in the side, and playing in a system that really suits his style.

He has been operating as a wing-back a lot this term, which is certainly good preparation for if Bruno Lage wants to get him into his first-team squad next season.
