Wolves’ Premier League path has been decided following the release of the 2025/26 fixture list.
Having started so poorly under Gary O’Neil, Wolves’ season had to be rescued by a record-breaking run from Vitor Pereira.
The Portuguese boss will be looking to avoid such a start this time around and build upon his side’s impressive end to the season.
Wolves’ fixtures could provide a spanner in the works, though, with a tough start on the cards for the Molineux outfit – something which has left fans slightly worried.

Wolves fans react to Premier League fixture release
Wolves’ hopes of getting off to the perfect start have been dealt a blow, with the resurgent Manchester City set to visit Molineux on the opening day.
That game is then followed by a tough away trip to Bournemouth, and then Everton at home set to round off August.
Molineux fans have since taken to social media in reaction to the fixture release, highlighting the challenging start to the season:
“Obviously we get one of the best teams in the league as our first game, gonna be another slow start to the season, ain’t it?”
A third fan added: “Another very difficult start! Hope VP has got the squad to see us in a better place than the start of last season!”
Supporters also took the chance to highlight Wolves’ very difficult run in December, which includes trips to the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.
“Brutal December lol,” added another supporter.
Vitor Pereira needs to get Wolves off to quick start
With tough early tests against the likes of Man City, Newcastle, and Spurs, Pereira will recognise the challenge at hand.
Wolves were playing catch-up for most of last season due to their poor start and cannot afford a repeat of that this campaign.
Wolves’ opening six fixtures:
- Wolverhampton v Manchester City
- A.F.C. Bournemouth v Wolverhampton
- Wolverhampton v Everton
- Newcastle United v Wolverhampton
- Wolverhampton v Leeds United
- Tottenham Hotspur v Wolverhampton
The Molineux outfit are in for an extra difficult December period, so getting points on the board quickly is essential, as Pereira won’t want to be fighting for his job come the Christmas period.
