Yerson Mosquera has impressed during his first pre-season as a Wolves player.
Mosquera caught the eye on his very first appearance with his front foot defending and aggression.
Unfortunately, he has picked up a hamstring injury and may miss the start of the season.
As per the Shropshire Star, Bruno Lage has made it clear how impressed he and the rest of the squad have been with the defender already.

“Fantastic work from the chief scout and the guys who work with him,” said Lage of signing Mosquera.
“When I was here, I said what the squad needed to grow up. They found the kid, they gave him to me and what I saw was good.
“We did a good job, not just me but them. We found a player and we brought him. If you ask all the guys, they love Yerson.
“But he needs time also. He did well in the first game but he needs time to adapt. Everything is new for him.”

Mosquera’s injury has come at a bad time because he would have been in with a chance of deputising for Willy Boly at the start of the Premier League season.
It would have been a boost if he could have had the full pre-season to really get settled and stake his claim for games when the serious stuff starts.
But his time will come provided he builds on the strong start he has made.
As for Lage’s comments, getting Mosquera was a good pick out from Wolves’ recruitment team and they look like they’ve signed a young gem. He’s still just 20 with plenty of time to improve.
