Wolves’ winning run came to an end on Friday night, with Manchester City triumphing 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Wanderers were looking to make it seven wins in a row in the Premier League, and started the game very well.
Wolves could easily have been two goals to the good, with Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Marshall Munetsi having great opportunities.

But Kevin De Bruyne put the visitors 1-0 up, and Wolves then struggled to maintain their level in the second-half.
But there will still a lot of positivity about Wolves’ performance,
And Jamie Carragher was left impressed by one player in particular.

Jamie Carragher praises Emmanuel Agbadou during Man City defeat

Wolves may have lost the game and failed to keep a clean sheet, but it was another impressive outing for Emmanuel Agbadou at the back.
The game with City was always a chance for Agbadou to shine, and the Ivorian undoubtedly caught the eye at the Etihad.
Not only was he his usual solid self, he also used the ball brilliantly, and was constantly looking to play forward and break lines.
Early in the game, Agbadou confidently took the ball and turned away from Kevin De Bruyne, before lofting a ball over the top of the City defence.
In the 71st minute, Agbadou again turned out of trouble away from danger on the edge of his own box, leading Jamie Carragher on commentary to say: “Brilliant.
“He’s impressed me today him. Very early on in the game he done a turn on Kevin De Bruyne and played a ball right over the top. Causing Manchester City big problems.
“He’s really confident on the ball.”

Another awesome Agbadou outing
Wolves may have lost on Friday night, but there were still plenty of positives for Pereira to take.
And the individual display of Agbadou was certainly one.
Wolves have struck gold with Agbadou and he shows no signs of letting up, even though Wanderers now have nothing really to play for.

The star is an absolutely brilliant player, and it’s exciting to think what Wolves might be able to achieve now that he’s marshalling the backline.
To have that genuine solidity at the back, but also have someone who can thread a pass, is a huge thing.
