Wanderers coming into the game off the back of a great win over Chelsea, which took them four points clear of the relegation zone.

Matheus Nunes’ stunning strike was the difference, and Wolves have a bit of breathing room now.

But Julen Lopetegui still needs a big result against the Bees.

Lose, and the pressure will be right back on. It is paramount that the win over Chelsea is followed up.

It will be a tough game. Lopetegui has said today that he believes Brentford are one of the best away teams in the Premier League.

They are physical, technical, and have a great manager in Frank.

Frank was complimentary about Wolves today in his press conference. He reckons Wanderers are playing with more intensity now under Lopetegui than at the start of the season.

He said (via BBC Sport): “Wolves look very stable and have some top players. It’s going to be a tough test. I’m expecting a very fluid team in the way they play.

“They play with bigger intensity now than earlier in the season. They are a team who can beat anyone on their day.”

Brentford manager Thomas Frank’s view of Wolves is right, the intensity is up under Julen Lopetegui

Frank is right – Wolves’ intensity is much greater now under Lopetegui than it was under Bruno Lage earlier in the season.

When Lopetegui came in at Wolves, it was claimed that he was shocked at the fitness levels of the players he was inheriting.

He very quickly placed emphasis on getting everybody much fitter. And doing that has really paid off.

Watching Wolves now, everyone looks at it. Lethargy is not creeping in any more, and there is a great hunger about the squad.
