Wolves wait on a visa after Emmanuel Agbadou completes medical
The signing of Agbadou is seemingly on the horizon and it will kickstart the January transfer window for Wolves, who are expected to sign another defender this month.
Agbadou, who ranks third in Ligue 1 for successful long passes, will arrive at Molineux with huge expectations on his shoulders.
The Ivory Coast international has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in Ligue 1. Standing at 6 ft 4, the towering defender is as proficient in the air as he is on the ground, telling of his insane attributes.
Wolves fans will be apprehensive about his arrival on English shores, with journalist Liam Keen meanwhile revealing that Agbadou completed his medical on Monday and is just waiting for his visa to get sorted.
“Reims centre-back Emmanuel Agbadou completed his Wolves medical yesterday and they are now waiting on his visa getting sorted,” Keen wrote on X.
Will Agbadou be available for Wolves FA Cup tie vs Bristol City?
For Pereira, the confirmation of Agbadou’s transfer can’t come quick enough as his side have been exposed for their defensive frailties.
Wolves were beaten 3-0 by Nottingham Forest on Monday night with a back three of Matt Doherty, Santi Bueno and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
However, it may not be long until their imminent new signing is welcomed into the fold as Keen also confirmed that Agbadou could be available for Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Bristol City.
Indeed, supporters will hope that a move for the Reims centre-back gets wrapped up this week so they can see him in action at Ashton Gate.
