Wolves-owned midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White continued his superb form on loan at Sheffield United, helping the Blades to a 3-1 win over QPR to put them on the brink of securing a play-off place.
The Championship outfit took another big step towards finishing in the play-off places.
The club currently sit sixth in the table on 72 points.
But Middlesbrough are just two points behind, and Millwall three.
Just one game remains now for United . And it’s against Fulham, who have already secured their promotion to the Premier League as division champions.
Against QPR on Friday, United showed real character to come from behind and take all three points.
Charlie Austin had opened the scoring for the hosts.
But Iliman Ndiaye, Jack Robinson and Conor Hourihane all scored in the second half to hand United a huge win.
Potentially, they could have secured a play-off play come yesterday evening had result elsewhere gone their way.
But Boro and Milwall both won to keep the pressure on.
It was another impressive outing for Gibbs-White for the Blades.
The youngster was featuring for the first time since being named Young Player of the Year at The Star Football awards.
In their playing ratings piece, The Star gave him an 8/10 for his performance and branded him ‘special’. The publication said that he was constantly targeted by QPR’s players ‘who could only get near enough to kick him rather than tackle him’.
Yorkshire Live also gave Gibbs-White an 8, stating he was ‘a constant threat’
One man who really rated Gibbs-White’s display was £22 million man Sander Berge, who commented ‘Superstar’ on his teammate post-game Instagram post.

There may have been no goal or assist this weekend but Gibbs-White put in another influential display for the Blades.
He’s put in many of those this season, and he has played a huge part in getting the club to the brink of the play-offs.
Just one game remains now against Fulham.
United need Gibbs-White on top form against the Cottagers if they are to seal that play-off place.
It would be absolutely brilliant if he could help the club achieve that, after all he’s done so far in 2021/22.
