Former Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster has given some thoughts about Wolves after watching their opening game against Arsenal last weekend.
Wolves kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 defeat to the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were both on target for the hosts, but Gary O’Neil‘s side didn’t do too badly overall.
They knocked the ball around well at times, and did put Arsenal under some pressure in the second-half before Saka killed the game with Arsenal’s second goal.
Jorgen Strand Larsen and Matheus Cunha both had great chances to score.
It was an encouraging display against a top side, and Ben Foster doesn’t foresee too many issues for Wolves this term.
Ben Foster thinks Wolves will be just fine in 2024/25 and will ‘outwork’ other teams

Wolves finished 14th last season and the club were unlucky to finish that low down in the end.
Injuries really hurt Wolves, and there were also a number of VAR decisions that cost O’Neil points.
Wolves probably need to get a couple more new players in before the transfer deadline next Friday, if Matt Hobbs’ hopes of securing European football are to ring true.
Former Premier League goalkeeper Foster was speaking about Wolves on his YouTube channel, and he reckons the club will be fine this season.
He said: “I do think they’ll be alright. I think Gary O’Neil is a good manager, he’s done really, really well hasn’t he?
“I think he’ll make that Wolves team, whether they might not have the ability technically, they will outwork an awful lot of teams. There will be a lot of teams that they will be able to run over and overwork.”
Foster is right
So Wolves got off to losing start against Arsenal, which a lot of people saw coming due to Arsenal’s status as a top Premier League side.
But there were several positives for Wolves to take from their performance, and that level will likely yield points against clubs who are not as strong as the Gunners.
O’Neil has placed a big focus on getting the players to raise their fitness levels, and is very big on working hard out of possession.
Players like Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes will once again be key this season. The midfield duo seem to set the tone for the rest of the team when it comes to pressing.
