Matheus Cunha is highly likely to leave Wolves this summer, and while Manchester United are the current favourites to sign him, Arsenal are still considering a move.
Matheus Cunha is set to be one of the big transfers of the summer, with his release clause of £62.5 million set to activate.
That clause was agreed back in early February, when Cunha penned fresh terms at Molineux.
In recent days, speculation has ramped up about Cunha, with Manchester United holding talks with the player.
They are seemingly the club he wants to join, and Wolves are open to negotiating over the payments terms of Cunha’s release clause.
Today it’s been suggested Arsenal are still in the mix – but there’s one thing that is forcing them to really think about making an approach.
The other key concern Arsenal have about Matheus Cunha, aside from his character

It was previously suggested that Arsenal had reservations about Cunha’s character, after he got a second ban of the season following his sending off at Bournemouth.
Cunha fought with Milos Kerkez and got a red card, but then wouldn’t go quietly, later resulting in the FA handing him an extra game on top of his three-match ban.
But Give Me Sport report tonight that there’s something else that is now concerning Arsenal, as they weigh up whether to hijack United’s attempt to sign the Brazilian.
And that is that the Gunners feel Cunha’s output may be unsustainable at the very highest level.
It is pointed out that this season, Cunha has actually been ‘slightly overperforming his expected goal contributions’.
United don’t share the same concerns though, and feel the player is a perfect fit for them.

Cunha ‘loves’ Man United
It remains to be seen if Arsenal will try to sign Cunha this summer, and if they can get past the reservations they have about the player.
But it might be a pointless exercise.
It was claimed on Tuesday that even though Saudi clubs are ready to trigger Cunha’s release clause, the player ‘loves’ Manchester United.
That is according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, who said on X: “Cunha sees United as one of the biggest clubs in the world and their current league position would not put him off a potential move to Old Trafford. One source says the player ‘loves United’.”
Cunha was spotted chatting with Ruben Amorim in the tunnel after Wolves’ win over Manchester United on Sunday, which only increased speculation that Old Trafford will be his new home come the summer.
