Arsenal star was fuming with his teammates after what happened late on against Wolves

Arsenal were lucky to come away with all three points against Wolves, and one player knew it.

The game was quite the spectacle for a neutral, but gut-wrenching for a Wolves fan and honestly, concerning for an Arsenal fan.

First in the Premier League playing host to last and needing two strokes of good fortune to get the win — not ideal for the Gunners.

Even when they scored the winner, not everyone was in the mood for celebration.

Declan Rice was furious even after Arsenal winner vs Wolves

When Yerson Mosquera’s unfortunate own-goal gave Arsenal the win, most of Mikel Arteta’s men were elated. Relieved.

But not Declan Rice. As Football London report: “A clearly frustrated Rice was in no mood to celebrate the Gunners getting out of jail, evidenced by behind-the-goal footage shared by TNT Sports.

“As the players congregated near the byline, the former West Ham talisman was spotted giving Jurrien Timber and others a piece of his mind, appearing to say something like ‘switch on’.”

Even though Arsenal saved their skin at the last, Rice wasn’t happy that they cut it so close. Many fans were vocal after the game in favour and against the Englishman.

Some saw it as the behaviour of a captain, once again sparking the debate around Odegaard wearing the armband.

Speaking of which…

The captaincy situation at Wolves

Toti Gomes was named Wolves captain at the start of the season, but fell out of favour with Vitor Pereira.

In fairness, he dropped his level from what earned him the armband. Since Rob Edwards has come in, Toti has found a way back into the side, and it’s no coincidence Wolves look more solid.

When he was on the bench, Wolves didn’t have the designated leader on the pitch. Everyone talks about leadership groups, but the reality is the captain is the captain. He needs to be out with his teammates.

Let’s hope Toti can stay in the picture for a starting berth for the remainder of the season. The team will be better for it..
