Liverpool are preparing to welcome Wolves to Anfield for an important Premier League match on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds will host Vitor Pereira’s Old Gold in a game that’ll have implications at both ends of the table.
Liverpool are looking to bounce back to winning ways after suffering a late draw against Everton last time out, and Wolves must pick up points to avoid being relegated.

Ahead of this weekend’s matchup in Merseyside, despite the importance, Arne Slot has been urged to rotate his side in time for Wolves.

Cody Gakpo an injury doubt for Wolves clash, but Arne Slot told to drop him regardless
Even though he is an injury doubt, Cody Gakpo should be dropped for Sunday’s matchup, regardless.
That is the view of pundit Paul Merson, who believes the Dutch forward looks to be in need of a rest following his lacklustre display in Wednesday’s Merseyside Derby.
“Arne Slot has to rotate his front three in this game,” he wrote in his SportsKeeda column.
“Some players including Cody Gakpo, looked a bit jaded in the Merseyside derby. Liverpool should consider getting knocked out of the FA Cup as a blessing!
“There are plenty of games coming up for them and if Mohamed Salah or Virgil van Dijk get injured, it would be the equivalent of Arsenal losing three players.”
Gakpo has started 16 Premier League games this season but could be resigned to the bench against Wolves.
Gakpo has superb record against Wolves
Gakpo’s record against Pereira’s side is one of his best. The 25-year-old has caused problems every time he has lined up against them.
The Netherlands international has scored five and assisted one in just seven meetings. Four of those strikes have come in the Premier League.
It is only Brentford that the Eindhoven-born hitman has a better individual record against, having scored five in five.
If Slot does what Merson thinks he should and drops Gakpo from his starting lineup, Wolves will feel their chances of taking something away from Merseyside have improved.
