Another player could follow Matheus Nunes out of Wolves, as club eye 27-year-old

Matheus Nunes appears set to join Manchester City – and he could be followed out of the door at Wolves by Daniel Podence.

It is a frantic period for Wolves, with Nunes appearing to get his wish of leaving.

It is being widely reported now that he’ll join City, with Tommy Doyle to head to Molineux on loan. Wolves will apparently have an option to buy him for £5 million.

But Nunes is not the only player who’ll likely be leaving.

Podence, who has not been with the squad, could depart in the next 48 hours – and there is a club showing interest.

Real Betis could come in for Daniel Podence

According to La Colina de Nervion, Podence is a possibility for Spanish outfit Betis in the final hours of the window.

Other players such as Ez Abde and Largie Ramazani are also on their radar.

But Podence is an option, and the club could launch a late swoop.

It is described as a situation that Betis will not take their eye off, as the transfer deadline approaches.

Recently, Podence was also linked with a move to Celtic. But a bid has not been forthcoming from the Scottish giants as of yet.

Podence must follow Nunes out of Wolves

It is time for Wolves to get rid of Podence.

Gary O’Neil said publicly that he does not share Wolves’ goals, and the fact he’s been away from the squad for so long now indicates that the situation is probably unsalvageable.

He’s only got a year left on his contract so selling is the right move.

And Wolves should just make sure he departs, even if it means accepting a low offer.

Because O’Neil does need any drama moving forwards into a very challenging season. So the likes of Nunes and Podence must go.
