Andre ‘sure’ that Wolves can repeat Nuno Espirito Santo feat if one thing happens this summer

Andre is on his summer holidays on the back of his first season at Wolves, but the midfielder is already thinking about the 2025/26 calendar.

Wolves struck gold by signing Andre, who snubbed Liverpool the year before making the move to Molineux.

By signing the Brazilian, Vitor Pereira was handed the perfect concoction to unleash in the middle of the park, fusing the former Fluminense ace with Joao Gomes

Andre and Gomes went from rivals to teammates after making the move from Brazil to the Premier League, and now, Pereira’s prized pivot is gunning for more.

Andre believes Wolves can qualify for Europe

Fluminense are paying the price for losing Andre, as the Brazilian club are still unable to find a worthy successor to the 23-year-old.

Wolves, on the other hand, are relishing having the combative midfielder on their side after what was an incredibly impressive debut season in the Premier League.

Andre showed his worth in the Premier League through his high performance level; however, that’s not enough for the player, who wants collective success to follow.

Speaking to Wolves’ official website, Andre shared his goals for next season, eyeing a top-ten finish and even a fight for European football.

“Our team will start with Vitor, who knows us well, just as we know him well,” he said.

“We need to have a good pre-season, and then I’m sure that this team is capable of fighting for Europe or finishing in the top 10. We’ll be well-coordinated.”

Andre stressed the importance of putting together a comprehensive pre-season in preparation for the 2025/26 campaign, making it clear that the squad want far more than another relegation battle.

If there’s one club that could shock everyone with a push for Europe, it’s Wolves, who secured a spot in the Europa League just one year after promotion from the Championship.

Nuno Espirito Santo had an abundance of talent in the Wolves side that featured in the Europa League, which is something Pereira has at his disposal, and something that those in the squad are clearly aware of, as per Andre’s belief.

Andre sets sights on improvements

The midfielder wants team success more than anything, but he also naturally wants to improve as an individual.

Andre admitted that he’s aiming to ‘improve as much as possible’ on the back of his debut season in England, insisting that it will only benefit the squad as a whole.

“For my part, I’m trying to improve as much as possible, help the team a lot, and, by doing that, with the team doing well, individual things will happen. We need to focus on the season’s start, playing for and as a team, and everyone will benefit from that.”

There’s not a lot more that Wolves could ask for from Andre, who was superb in his first season at Molineux and is now seeking new heights for the club.
