Wolves pulled off one of their best signings ever after capturing Andre from Fluminense in the summer of 2024.
The midfielder was in and out of the team when Gary O’Neil was in charge, but under Vitor Pereira, he’s become one of his most important players.
Andre is a picture of class at the base of midfield, intercepting play exceptionally and impressing with his passing range.
Dave Edwards even thinks Andre is one of the Premier League’s best in his position, telling of his world-class attributes and his blossoming partnership alongside Joao Gomes.
But while everyone knows how brilliant the Brazilian is, the 23-year-old has also recognised the quality of another teammate.

Andre praises Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen
Last weekend, Wolves lost 1-0 against Manchester City, but it was a game of missed chances for the Wanderers, who could have scored twice in the first half.
It didn’t help that they were without the injured Jorgen Strand Larsen. The Norwegian is in the form of his life, having netted six in his last six matches.
The 25-year-old has transformed into a crucial player for Wolves, perhaps even more important than top scorer Matheus Cunha.
Wolves coped in the absence of the Brazilian and arguably played better by going four unbeaten, but during the match against City, Strand Larsen’s lack of presence was felt.
Speaking ahead of Wolves’ clash with Brighton on Saturday, Andre heaped praise on the Norwegian international.
“They have a good team that plays well together. We did our best and in the first 25 minutes we had two chances, and maybe we could have had a better result,” he said via Wolves official.
“Strand Larsen is in a very good phase, and he helps a lot, so he was missed. He is a strong player, strong forward, and when he comes back, I’m sure he will be able to help and keep scoring.
“Since I arrived here, we have been together. He has been helping me a lot, even with translations into English, and he still does it, and I like him very much.”

Strand Larsen can beat one Raul Jimenez record
Strand Larsen’s move to Wolves will become permanent in the summer after initially joining on loan from Celta Vigo last year.
It’s been an impressive debut campaign for the towering centre-forward, seeing his attributes flourish in England’s top-flight.
In the win over Leicester City, Strand Larsen equalled Jimenez’s debut campaign at Wolves where the Mexican scored 13 goals in the Premier League.
Strand Larsen has a chance to beat that in his final three games. He may feature against Brighton, but if not, he will have an opportunity to do so in meetings with Crystal Palace or Brentford.
