‘Always give you 7 or 8/10’: Pundit thinks O’Neil will now hand £10m player his first PL start

Dave Edwards thinks Boubacar Traore will be starting for Wolves in place of the suspended Mario Lemina on Saturday against Bournemouth.

Lemina was sent off against Aston Villa before the international break.

He missed the clash with the Cherries, as does Nelson Semedo, who picked up a fifth booking of the season.

Lemina’s situation is frustrating because after this game with Bournemouth, he’ll still only be one more yellow card away from a one-game suspension.

But O’Neil has a few options at his disposal.

And Edwards reckons it will be Traore who gets the nod…

But just recently, he has looked pretty handy coming off the bench.

Arguably he does deserve to start in Lemina’s place the most.

Edwards thinks that will be the case, and he’s also said that Bellegarde will come back in too.

He said (Express & Star): “Jean-Ricner Bellegarde is back from his three-game ban, but Nelson Semedo is suspended.

“I would expect him to go with Boubacar Traore in midfield, as he has been the man he has turned to in the big moments in big games.

“He can really get around the pitch and maybe he is not quite as good on the ball as the other midfield boys but he will always give you seven or eight out of 10 with his work-rate and his attitude.”

Boubacar should get the nod

Most Wolves fans would likely love to see Traore get his first Premier League start against Bournemouth.

The £10 million signing does deserve a chance having looked good coming off the bench. And O’Neil has said he has been training ‘exceptionally well’ lately.

It’ll be interesting to see if Bellegarde also comes back in after his suspension.

You would think that Joao Gomes will keep his place.

So if Bellegarde plays then that likely means a three-man midfield, meaning a system change compared to the games with Manchester City and Aston Villa
