Vitor Pereira was handed a new deal at Wolves despite the awful start the club has had this season.
After five games, Wolves are without a win, and the new contract for Pereira has surprised many in the football world.
Vitor Pereira believes he knows how to turn things around, but the mood around Molineux can only be described as down.
First-team players have been issuing public apologies for their form, however, the Old Gold faithful need to start seeing quality on the pitch.
After the weekend’s games, Ally McCoist was discussing the situation with Vitor Pereira, and he believes there is one thing nobody can argue about.
Ally McCoist says Vitor Pereira’s team have been ‘stripped’ of top players

Ally McCoist has been asked about Vitor Pereira’s new contract at Wolves and whether or not he deserved to be handed one.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, McCoist said, “I am not watching Wolves twice a week home and away, but from the outside looking in, it’s certainly a vote of confidence they have given him.
“Whether he deserves it or not, Wolves fans would know if he would deserve it better than I would.
“But one thing we can’t argue is that he has been stripped of some talent in his team and he hasn’t been allowed to replace them.”
Ally McCoist makes a good point. Matheus Cunha was sold to Manchester United, Rayan Ait Nouri left for Manchester City, and Nelson Semedo departed as a free agent.
Those three players were important members of the squad last season, and while Wolves did bring in six players on top of making Jorgen Strand Larsen’s loan move permanent, there are questions on whether they were the right players.
Vitor Pereira showed what he could do when there is quality in the squad, and the head coach may still have to wait to have that.

Most of Wolves’ new signings have not adapted yet
Wolves did bring in plenty of players in the summer, but none of those have any Premier League experience.
The adaptation period has been a major problem for the Old Gold, with players such as Jhon Arias and David Moller Wolfe having struggled to make an impact so far.
Jackson Tchatchoua has found himself out of the starting XI on occasion thanks to the good form of Hugo Bueno and Rodrigo Gomes.
Meanwhile, Tolu Arokodare is still finding his feet.
On the other hand, Ladislav Krejci has been excellent since making the move from Girona earlier in the summer.
Vitor Pereira will need all of his new signings to come good sooner rather than later, as they still sit last in the Premier League on zero points, and time is running out to turn things around.
