By now everybody knows that Adama Traore loves a dribble.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers winger is all about picking up the ball and carrying it, using his pace and power to leave defenders for dead.

There aren’t many greater sights to behold than Traore being in full flow – something Wolves fans have recently been seeing again after a bit of a dip.

It has generally not been the best of campaigns for the former Barcelona player, but hopefully he’ll have a strong finish now that he’s officially off the mark for goals and assists.

Despite his struggles in terms of goal involvements, Traore’s actual ball-carrying has been stronger than ever.

According to Premier League statistics, Traore is currently leading the way for most dribbles completed.

Perhaps that isn’t too much of a surprise – but the margin by which he’s winning is quite remarkable.

Second in the table is Fulham star Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, who has completed 85.

The next winger on the list after Traore is Marcus Rashford, who is third with 80.

Sadio Mane has not enjoyed the best of campaigns by his standards, but many people would agree he is world-class. He’s only completed 74 dribbles – just over half the amount of Traore.

It’s clear that Traore is the best dribbler in the Premier League right now.

Perhaps it is to be expected given how fast and strong he is, but it’s even more impressive when one takes into account how often he gets fouled and is therefore unable to complete a dribble.

If he was just able to improve that end product a little – and hopefully he can by the time he comes into his peak – he could be a truly special player.

On social media, some fans were in awe of the statistic:
