A new low for Wolves as chairman gives non-league comparison, ‘we’re remarkably similar’

Wolves are winless in the Premier League this season, but they’re not alone, as Brantham Athletic in the eighth tier of English football are also in the same boat.

Rob Edwards was hired to turn things around at Wolves after Vitor Pereira’s poor start to the season, but things haven’t gone to plan.

The Old Gold are currently winless in the Premier League for 253 days and have conceded 35 goals this season, as well as being the lowest scorers.

Derby’s lowest points tally is well within reach after 15 games, with another nine points required to tie their tally of 11 and another 23 games to play.

The performance against Wolves was a step in the right direction, but it’s a similar case of just throwing the game away in the dying embers.

Brantham Athletic chairman says Wolves are very similar to his side

Wolves’ winless run is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Brantham Athletic chairman Peter Crowhurst has seen his fair share of losses already this season. The step eight side hasn’t managed a win this season either.

They also sit at the bottom of their table with two points and hold the record, along with Wolves, as being the only two teams still without their first victory of the season.

Here’s what the Brantham chief had to say whilst talking to the BBC.

Brentford offers Wolves a great opportunity of breaking the streak

Keith Andrews is set to return to Molineux after playing 72 times for the Old Gold, but this time as Brentford boss.

He’s looking forward to the occasion, but there are a couple of concerns ahead of the clash, as Jordan Henderson and Igor Thiago are doubts for the game.

Rob Edwards will be hoping that Brentford’s streak continues, as they have lost their last four away matches in the Premier League.

However, Wolves need to fix their own goal issue and unforced errors, as you can’t expect to win games if you’re constantly chasing.
