Wolves are still bottom of the Premier League table with zero points after defeat to Leeds United – and one player’s form is a real concern now for Vitor Pereira.
Wolves crashed to a 3-1 loss to Leeds at Molineux, with fans booing at half-time and on the full whistle.
It was another terrible performance from Wolves, who did take the lead in the game before rolling over in pathetic fashion.
The defending was atrocious again, with Leeds putting their early setback behind them and scoring three times before the break.
Pereira made three changes at half-time, but Wolves failed to ask serious questions of Leeds with Karl Darlow relatively untroubled.
Wolves’ defensive frailties were exposed once more, and fans targeted Emmanuel Agbadou for criticism after the game.
But he is not the only player to be really struggling at the moment, with Jose Sa becoming a problem.
Jose Sa has terrible statistics for Wolves this season

Sa remains the number one at Molineux, but his position really now ought to be in some jeopardy.
He missed the defeat to Newcastle United through illness, but was then recalled to face Leeds – which was a somewhat questionable decision from Pereira after Sam Johnstone actually did quite well against the Magpies.

Against Leeds, Sa did not justify his recall.
He was caught off his line for the Leeds equaliser from Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Had he been further back, he might have given himself more of a chance.
Leeds’ second goal from the free-kick looked unstoppable in real time, but replays showed Sa might have got a hand to it. It was also on his side of the goal.
Sa then got nowhere near Noah Okafor’s low finish across the goal.

After the game, fans on social media slammed Sa’s performance against Leeds.
So far, the Portuguese has made four Premier League appearances this season.
Alarmingly, as per fbref data, he has faced 16 shots and conceded 11 goals, making just five saves so far. And of course, there have been no clean sheets to speak of.
Jose Sa should be sold by Wolves in 2026
Wolves should be looking to sell Sa in 2026 – either in January if his form continues to be poor, or in the summer.
Sa had an amazing first season at Wolves, winning Player of the Season at Molineux in 2021/22.
But he has since never reached the heights of that first campaign, and this term his form has been woeful, like most of his teammates.

He is the lowest-rated player in Wolves squad according to WhoScored, and there is just a feeling now that a player is going to score past him if they have a decent enough chance.
Sa – who cost just under £7 million (Sky Sports) – undoubtedly needs better protection in front of him. But he is not delivering when Wolves need him to, and he is another player Pereira needs to consider dropping.
And ultimately, it will soon be time for Sa to move on, with Christos Mandas having been tipped as a potential replacement for Wolves.
