Defender Max Kilman could be set to become one of the highest earning players at Wolves.
The centre-half continues to be linked with an exit from the club, with Serie A champions particularly keen.
But it now looks as though Wanderers will retain Kilman.
Wolves were initially going to hear offers for the 26-year-old.
But after rejecting a £30 million bid from Napoli, the club then opened talks with the player about a new deal.
And it seems he is set to sign in what is a boost for the club.
Max Kilman set to sign new contract at Wolves – he’ll become a top earner
According to the Daily Mail today, Napoli have now switched their attention to Japan defender Ko Itakura of Borussia Monchengladbach.

He would apparently cost approximately half of what Wolves had been demanding for Kilman (£35 million).
Kilman is now set to stay at Molineux.
He himself has never pushed for an exit, despite Wolves initially being open to selling.
And Wolves are ready to hand the player a new deal that would see him become one of the club’s top earners.
At the moment, it is thought that Raul Jimenez is the top earning player at Molineux. According to Spotrac, he takes home £100,000-a-week.
Kilman deserves to be a top earner at Wolves
There is no mention of how much Wolves would pay Kilman.
But him moving near the top earners at the club would be no less than he deserves.
Over the past couple of years, Kilman has enjoyed a fantastic rise at Wolves.

He’s gone from being on the fringes to being a staple pick at Molineux – last season, it didn’t matter who was in the dugout, he would play.
Kilman missed just three games across all competitions last term, signalling his importance to the team.
He is a quality centre-back, who is not far offer becoming a top level Premier League defender.
