19-year-old sends Gary O’Neil a message with amazing goal while on-loan

Wolves had sent 19-year-old Dexter Lembikisa on-loan so he could improve as a right-back, but with his latest performance he showed a lot more than just defence.

The right-back joined Rotherham in July as he looked to gain some senior experience to gear himself toward breaking into the Wolves squad.

The Jamaican is already capped 10-times by his nation so he isn’t just any young prospect from Molineux.

Rotherham had to fight off interest from various other sides in the football league to secure his signature.

Already though, they will be seeing the move as a win, after his most recent performance.

Lembikisa scores a wonder goal

In the 22nd minute of Rotherham’s game against Norwich, Lembikisa hit home one of the goals of the season already.

A long throw in arrived in the box before being cleared to the edge of the box.

It was here the on-loan Wolves ace was waiting and smashed home a brilliantly caught volley.

He hit it directly into the upper echelons of the top corner nearest him, which no doubt is a message to Gary O’Neil.

Wolves could use his finishing

Wolves’ scoring struggles this season have been evident, with multiple games seeing the Molineux side attain a higher xG.

This will be leaving O’Neil jealous of the finishing displayed by Lembikisa as he could do with some of that in Wolves.

But aside from the finishing the Wolves youngster has been generally impressive for a Rotherham side which isn’t expected to win much.

This good start if maintain will have him right in the conversation for regular Wolves minutes next season.
