‘World class’… Wolves fans are all pointing to one thing that changed the game vs Ipswich Town

Wolves all-but secured their place in the Premier League for the 2025/26 season at Portman Road on Saturday.

The Old Gold extended their lead over 18th-placed Ipswich Town to a whopping 12 points heading into the final seven games of the Premier League campaign thanks to their dramatic 2-1 win.

Vitor Pereira’s side had actually gone behind in the 16th minute when Liam Delap capitalised on some rather suspect defending to make it 1-0.

It would take Wolves until the 72nd minute to level the game following an extended period of pressure. The equaliser came courtesy of substitute Pablo Sarabia, who fired home brilliantly on the swivel from the edge of the penalty area.

Pereira didn’t have to wait too much longer to see his take the lead after that, as the in-form Jorgen Strand Larsen prodded him in the 84th minute to secure a vital three points.

After the win, Wolves fans have seemingly all been keen to pinpoint the same thing that changed the game in their team’s favour at Portman Road.

Wolves fans praise ‘game-changer’ Pablo Sarabia after starring role in Ipswich win

Brought on to the right-side of the Wolves attack to replace Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Sarabia injected some much-needed quality into the forward line when he came off the bench on the hour mark.

The former PSG man got the breakthrough for his side in the 72nd minute via a wonderful piece of skill – sweeping a half-volley into the bottom corner of the net. And soon after, he turned provider, playing a simply sublime first-time cross along the six-yard to tee up Larsen for the winning goal.

It’s fair to say Wolves fans were impressed, with some even hailing his impact as ‘world class’…

After bearing the brunt of quite a bit of stick this season, fans were also keen to send their apologies to Sarabia after he all-but single-handedly secured their place in the Premier League…

Pablo Sarabia ‘agrees’ to join Sevilla as free agent

That star performance against Ipswich Town looks likely to be Sarabia’s parting gift to Wolves fans before he leaves in the summer.

Sarabia’s currently deal at the club is due to expire at the end of the June, and with no sign of a new contract being forthcoming, the 32-year-old has been in talks with other clubs.

And according to a recent report, he has already settled on his next destination. Sarabia is said to have ‘agreed’ terms to head back to Spain and join La Liga outfit Sevilla once his contract at Molineux runs down.
