Wolves moved up to 8th in the Premier League table on Sunday with a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at Molineux.
Wolves continued their winning ways with a victory over Sheffield United at Molineux on Sunday afternoon.
Gary O’Neil saw his side climb up to 8th in the table, overtaking Chelsea, West Ham United and Newcastle United to move within just one point of Brighton in 7th.
It was certainly a game of two halves, with a dominant first half getting the job done for the Old Gold and the second half providing some nervy watching for Wolves fans.
Pablo Sarabia’s sublime header on the half-hour mark gave the hosts the lead thanks to a perfect ball from Rayan Ait-Nouri, however, the Algerian wasn’t the only fullback who excelled in the final third.
What Clinton Morrison said about Nelson Semedo
Taking to BBC 5 Live during the fixture, pundit Clinton Morrison was full of praise for the Wolves and in particular, Nelson Semedo.
The former Republic of Ireland striker lauded the hosts “free-flowing football” as well as calling Semedo “one of the best” in the Premier League when it came to one strength.
“Ivo Grbic is going to have a long afternoon with Nelson Semedo, he’s one of the best in the Premier League at getting forward. Good pedigree as well being at the likes of Barcelona.”
“I like the way Wolves have set up so far. It is the first time I’ve seen them live so far this season and they do play free-flowing football”
In the first half in particular, the Portugal international found himself getting into positive areas in the final third down the right side, causing huge problems for Sheffield United.

How Nelson Semedo performed against Sheffield United
Having recorded 72 touches on the ball in 90 minutes, the 30-year-old caused havoc when on the attack for Wolves, completing two out of his three attempted dribbles, via Sofascore.
As well as being prominent in the final third, Semedo was assured at the back when called upon, reflected by him winning 100% of his aerial duels and six of his nine attempted ground duels.
Two clearances and two tackles summed up a well-rounded display from the right-back, who looks to be thriving in O’Neil’s free-flowing system which was portrayed through his performance today.
With being given a licence to roam high up the pitch, the £80k-a-week Portuguese defender has come to life this campaign, with his threat in advanced areas making him one of the manager’s most prized assets.
