Rob Edwards will be forced into changes against Brentford, and that is probably the last thing he wanted to do after an impressive display vs Arsenal.
However, with the injury concerns and players away at AFCON, the Wolves head coach’s hand has been forced.
Ahead of the match, Edwards has confirmed Hugo Bueno will be unavailable, making him the seventh player set to be out of action on Saturday.
With that said, it perhaps makes team selection a little easier, and we have had a go at predicting Wolves’ XI vs Brentford.
Who will be Wolves’ biggest loss vs Brentford?
Defence
In goal, Sam Johnstone will retain his place despite an own goal against Arsenal. The Englishman is the Old Gold’s number one, and that does not look likely to change.
Two new centre-backs will have to slot in, with Emmanuel Agbadou at AFCON and Yerson Mosquera suspended following an accumulation of five yellow cards.
When it comes to central defenders, only Ladislav Krejci and Santiago Bueno are the natural options, although Matt Doherty could slot in too. Toti Gomes is the only player to remain in their spot in the middle of defence.
Out wide, we have gone with Matt Doherty to retain his place at wing-back.
Hugo Bueno’s injury means David Moller Wolfe continues on the opposite side of the defence.
Midfield
Injuries to Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Marshall Munetsi make picking the midfield a simple decision. Additionally, with Krejci likely being in defence, Edwards’ options are slim.
Brazilian duo Andre and Joao Gomes should be the starting pair in the middle, as there is not much choice otherwise.

Attack
With few midfield options, Rob Edwards opting for the same formation does not seem likely, and with plenty of forwards at his disposal, we might see a three-pronged attack.
We are predicting a full refresh in the forward lines as Mateus Mane and Tolu Arokodare get rewarded for their combination against Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Jhon Arias comes back into the line-up owing to a lack of other wide options.
Would you make any changes to our predicted XI?
Jhon Arias is not in the best of form, but there are few options out wide.
Overall, we expect four changes from Wolves when they host Brentford at Molineux on Saturday afternoon.
The game kicks off at 3pm GMT, and the hope will certainly be that the Old Gold pick up their first win of the Premier League season.
Eyes will also be firmly set on Brentford’s starting XI, with Keith Andrews sweating on Igor Thiago and Jordan Henderson’s fitness.
