Wolves have recorded another win in the Premier League, beating West Ham United at Molineux to take a huge step towards safety.
17 days after Wolves beat Southampton, Wanderers have recorded another big victory tonight – and Jorgen Strand Larsen was again the difference-maker.
Wolves knocked the ball around confidently in the first-half, and took the lead through the Norwegian midway through. His strike on the edge of the box deflected in off Maximilian Kilman.
West Ham came into the game a bit more in the second-half as it became a feistier and scrappier affair. Wolves did look a little nervy as the game progressed.
After Graham Potter made changes at half-time for the visitors, Wolves just weren’t as good on the ball and could not be as slick. But they saw the game out, and are now a huge 12 points clear of the relegation zone.
Here’s how Molineux News rated tonight’s players in old gold.
Wolves player ratings vs West Ham

Jose Sa – 6/10
Sa was a spectator for most of the first-half. Had a couple of dicey moments. Booked.
Matt Doherty – 6/10
Doc made an important block early doors to stop Evan Ferguson from scoring. Survived a VAR scare in the second-half when he went with a high foot on Niclas Fullkrug.
Emmanuel Agbadou – 7/10
Another good display from the January signing. He’s helped transform this Wolves defence. Those line-breaking passes are great to see.
Toti Gomes – 7/10
Solid for the most part, nearly scored his first goal of the season with a header in the first-half that was well saved. One iffy moment towards the end that nearly led to Soucek scoring, but overall a good display. He has a case for being Wolves’ most consistent player since Pereira came in at Molineux.
Nelson Semedo – 7/10
A sound display from the captain. He was a brilliant outlet and looks fast as ever. Wolves have to do their utmost to agree a contract extension.
Rayan Ait-Nouri – 6/10
A decent display from RAN although didn’t pose as big a threat as we know he can. Again popped up in central positions sometimes to help Wolves create overloads. Replaced by Santiago Bueno.
Joao Gomes – 8/10
Gomes just signed a new contract at Wolves, and tonight he immediately showed why that was such a big thing for the club. He was everywhere as usual, and also looked dangerous carrying the ball forward. Booked.
Andre – 8/10
A fantastic display from Andre, Wolves’ Player of the Month for March. He and Gomes completely bossed the first-half and were tireless throughout the contest. Booked, replaced by Pablo Sarabia.
Marshall Munetsi – 5/10
Worked hard but was again let down by his finishing tonight. Should have doubled Wolves’ lead in the 26th minute but hit the crossbar from close range after a great run by Gomes. He could have made the game much more comfortable for Wolves. Had another golden chance right at the end to put the game to bed. He could easily have six or seven goals to his name by now for Wolves.
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde – 7/10
Not as influential as in recent weeks but still a good performance from Bellegarde, who fully deserves to be starting games regularly for Wolves. Made some good drives forward with the ball from an inside left position.
Jorgen Strand Larsen – 7/10
Seems to actually play better without Matheus Cunha. Slightly fortuitous with his goal after it deflected in off Maximilian Kilman, but a confident display nonetheless from the Norwegian.
