Wolves fans vote for their man of the match vs West Ham, there was one runaway winner

Wolves’ first win of the Premier League season was emphatic, as they struck three goals in the first half to secure a 3-0 win against West Ham.

Jhon Arias scored his first goal for the club to start proceedings. Hwang Hee-chan followed that up with a calmly slotted penalty before Mateus Mane joined Arias in scoring his inaugural goal for the Old Gold.

Goals by both Mane and Arias put them in Wolves’ history books, and that ought to be a real confidence boost for the pair.

It was a great day for the Molineux faithful, who will be hoping this is the start of a turnaround.

And they made absolutely clear who was their man of the match against the Hammers on Saturday afternoon.

What Wolves fans have been saying after massive win vs West Ham

Old Gold supporters have been commenting on who impressed them most vs West Ham, and there have actually been a couple of shouts for players other than Mateus Mane.

One fan said, “Tolu for me was a menace against that backline. Welcome back to Molineux, Kilman,” with that sentence denoted with a sarcastically placed wink emoji.

“I thought Jose Sa was superb today,” another stated as the Portuguese goalkeeper helped keep Wolves’ first Premier League clean sheet of the season.

As expected, Mateus Mane’s name was mentioned quite a bit.

“The one and only, Mateus Mane. Brilliant goal. The entire side played nicely,” a Wolves fan stated.

Meanwhile, another clearly jubilant supporter simply left the lyrics to the youngster’s new chant, “In your headdddd, in your headdddd, Mane Mane Mane Mane!”

Joy has certainly returned to the club for now, and let’s hope that Rob Edwards can continue that with a big performance against Everton on Wednesday.
