Wolves were beaten once again in the Premier League on Tuesday night, losing 2-1 to Everton at Molineux.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were undone by a second-half header from Michael Keane, which has sent the Toffees fourth in the table.
Wolves made a terrible start, with Alex Iwobi ghosting into the area to convert Lucas Digne’s cross on six minutes.
But there was a response not long after – Rayan Ait-Nouri firing in a cross for an unmarked Ruben Neves to steer in at the back post.
Wolves had some good possession for the rest of the first half but, like against Brighton, it was a poor showing in the second 45.
Ultimately, Nuno’s side were toothless and were made to pay for a lack of a cutting edge, with Keane beating Romain Saiss in the air to score a tremendous header around 15 minutes from time.
The result makes Saturday’s Black Country Derby an absolutely massive game – defeat against West Brom would really set the alarm bells ringing.
On social media, some Wolves fans have been praising Neves for his performance against Everton.
Not only did he get the goal, but the £16 million maestro (Goal) was superb in possession, and also almost grabbed a second on two occasions in spectacular fashion.
In some people’s eyes he did not deserve to be on the losing side:
Ruben Neves, the way he plays always going so unnoticed, doesn’t get much better than him

Ruben neves didn’t deserve to be on the losing side tonight best player on the pitch ! I don’t expect them to spend in January with this pandemic same for all teams , but don’t spend in the summer he will be gone and rightly so he deserves to be in a team challenging

In terms of positives, Ruben Neves looked back to his best, not just his shooting but his reading of the game and winning the ball back. Semedo looks like he’s adapting well.
