Wolves are taking on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League tonight at 6pm.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side come into the game without a win in their last six games in the league, with the last victory coming against the Blues in the reverse fixture last month.
Chelsea have a new manager in Thomas Tuchel and, although the German has had very little time with his new players, the hope will be for a ‘new manager bounce’ to carry them to the three points.
It’s a great chance though for Wolves to get themselves back on track.
Wolves may have ran out 2-1 winners in the last game, but they do not have a good record in west London with Chelsea winning five out the six meetings between the clubs at Stamford Bridge – the other being a draw.
The team news is out, and Nuno’s XI includes Rui Patricio in goal and a back five of Nelson Semedo, Conor Coady, Max Kilman, Willy Boly and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
In midfield is Leander Dendoncker and Ruben Neves as a pairing and in attack, Pedro Neto, Adama Traore and the fit-again Daniel Podence will presumably operate as a fluid and interchanging front three.
Podence has missed the past five games in all competitions due to a calf injury, and his return is a huge boost.
New loan signing Willian Jose is on the bench having arrived in England last night after receiving a work permit.
On social media, fans seem generally happy with the starting XI, with some expressing their delight about Podence and Jose’s availability in particular:
😍😍😍😍😍
