Wolves have been beaten 1-0 in their second Premier League game of the season by Tottenham Hotspur.

It was a winning return to Molineux for Nuno Espirito Santo, with Dele Alli’s first-half penalty the difference on the day.

It is another loss for Bruno Lage, but the result does not come close to telling the full story.

Wolves were brilliant in the game, willed on by a full house of supporters.

The team dominated the ball and pressed with intensity all game.

Lots of chances were created, but the ball – like against Leicester last week – just didn’t want to go in.

It was Alli from the spot after Jose Sa’s challenge that gave the visitors the lead.

The new goalkeeper did make a few great saves in the second-half though to somewhat atone.

Adama Traore was probably the standout player for Wolves despite some more wayward finishing, and Ruben Neves also had a tremendous game in central midfield.

Someone else who has been coming in for a lot of love on social media, is Max Kilman.

The star again took up position on the right of a back three, and was superb in all aspects of his game.

He won aerial duels, was solid in the tackle and regularly brought the ball forwards.

He is certainly making an impression early doors for Wolves.
