Wolves fans believe that one star should receive more recognition after another great display vs Tottenham.
Wolves picked up a great point on the road on Sunday afternoon thanks to goals from Hwang Hee-Chan and Jorgen Strand Larsen.
The result has taken Vitor Pereira’s side two points clear of the relegation zone after an unbelievable start from the new manager.
Larsen received plenty of praise for his role in the draw as he netted a last-minute equaliser.
However, another player who is now receiving more recognition is Matt Doherty.
Wolves fans insist Matt Doherty is now a ‘club legend’ after cementing his place back in the starting XI

Doherty has had a largely successful 2024/25 campaign. Going into the season, it looked as if the full-back would be used sparingly as his importance to the team diminished.
This was evident after the first few games with the Irishman only in two of the first 13 Premier League games.
However, in Gary O’Neil’s final run of matches, Doherty returned to the lineup and impressed massively despite the results.
Against West Ham, he was easily the club’s best player and netted the equaliser before losing 2-1.
This form has continued under Pereira where he has now cemented his spot in the starting XI.
After another solid performance vs Spurs, fans are now arguing that Doherty is now a ‘club legend’.
Over the years, Doherty has also shown a ridiculous amount of adaptability.
For a player who was originally a right-back, he has now played at wing-back, left-back and now a centre-back under Pereira.
This has been recognised by the Molineux faithful who have been impressed with his performances.
Matt Doherty deserves recognition from Wolves fans

Throughout the good times and the bad, Doherty has always given his all in a Wolves shirt.
The fact that nearly 14 years after his debut in Old Gold he is still a regular is simply staggering.
On his current form, he will likely remain in the starting XI for the foreseeable future with Pereria clearly taking a liking to the wing-back.
Hopefully, the 32-year-old can continue his form into the new year and continue to help the side pick up points.
