Wolves fans are all in agreement over ‘terrible’ player vs Brighton, he has no future at Molineux

Wolves returned to Premier League action on Saturday with an away clash against Brighton.

Gary O’Neil took his side down to the South Coast on October 26th in search of their first win of the 2024/25 league season.

Wolves lost 2-1 to Manchester City in their previous fixture and began the current game week sat 20th in the Premier League table.

The Old Gold were just one of four sides who started the weekend still without a single victory in the top flight this season.

Ahead of kick-off at the Amex, Wolves were predicted to lose to Brighton by several pundits, including Paul Merson and Chris Sutton.

Another defeat would have no doubt put even more pressure on O’Neil and his side as we head toward a hectic winter period.

Brighton, meanwhile, began the day fifth in the division and going in search of a spot in the top four.

Wolves fans all in agreement about Jose Sa vs Brighton

While there may have been some hope of a victory against Brighton following a decent showing against City, any optimism will have quickly diminished after the first 45.

Wolves sat very deep and invited pressure from the Seagulls who eventually scored right before the break via Danny Welbeck.

Wolves journalist Liam Keen took to social media to share his displeasure at the goal, labelling goalkeeper Jose Sa ‘terrible’ for his involvement.

He wrote: “It’s a terrible kick out from Sa, straight to Kadioglu. He plays it forward to Rutter, who slips in Welbeck behind Dawson and he finishes into the bottom corner”

Keen was not the only Wolves fan to express his anger toward Sa, with a number of other fans hitting out at the keeper on X/Twitter.

One fan wrote: “Jose Sa – arguing with a Brighton lad about time wasting before half time is then followed by a terrible clearance – what a clown.”

Another exclaimed: “THAT’S WHY SA DOESN’T PLAY!!! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE SEEN THIS HAPPEN!!!??”

A third sarcastically added: “Jose Sa strikes again with his fantastic kickouts, while a fourth wrote: “Shocking … Sa can do one right now … always a mistake in him.”

Another of the Wolves faithful also wrote: “Sorry mate. SA has disappointed again,” with a sixth stating: “Mate I hate Jose Sa, was quietly livid when I heard all the shouts for him to keep his place.”

Jose Sa has no future at Wolves after Brighton

Sa started the season as Wolves’ number one but was quickly dropped for summer signing Sam Johnstone after conceding eight in two.

With Johnstone injured, however, the Portuguese came back into the first-team fold against Manchester City and Brighton.

But after another questionable display on Saturday and Johnstone now close to a return, it is clear Sa will be dropped once more and is unlikely to have much of a future at the club after proving again he is not good enough to play in the Premier League.
