A disappointing result against Brighton has left Wolves still without a win this season.
Former captain Conor Coady was left worried by what he saw after full-time, and with just two points from seven, they are rock bottom of the Premier League.
Two late goals conceded in back-to-back games will do no good for the squad’s confidence and the Molineux faithful are starting to become frustrated.
One player in particular had fans talking on social media, and for all the wrong reasons.
Wolves fans frustrated with Hwang Hee-chan again
Hwang Hee-chan’s performance left a lot to be desired, and Molineux News gave him a 3/10 for his showing.
Fans were also left annoyed by the Korean’s display, and they were quick to take to social media to express it.
One fan said, “All Vitor Pereira had to do today was bring on Rodrigo [Gomes] or Lopez for Hwang. It wasn’t like we were under lots of pressure. Absolute joke how they don’t get game time when all Hwang does is break our attacks down.”
Another supporter stated, “I agree that players shouldn’t take proper, nasty abuse. But I also believe that Hwang just isn’t good enough and we’re allowed to voice our frustrations. We haven’t got time to wait for him to magically come good again. He shouldn’t be on the pitch.”
Other Wolves fans questioned the player starting, saying, “Playing with 10 men every time Hwang starts.”
With another echoing that sentiment, stating, “How does Hwang keep starting?”
Others were much more harsh in their assessments, saying, “Hwang should never play for Wolves again; he offers nothing, he can’t run and he’s awful.”
As well as one fan stating, “Never want to see Hwang in a Wolves shirt again. He offers nothing.”
It is time for Vitor Pereira to drop Hwang Hee-chan
The time has come for Vitor Pereira to be ruthless with Hwang Hee-chan.
The Korean has been way below the pace this season, and he has not warranted the game time he is getting.
The Portuguese has plenty of options at his disposal. Fer Lopez could be deployed on the left wing, although that would be a new position for him.
Additionally, Rodrigo Gomes is another solid option for the attack.
No matter what he chooses, Hee-chan must not start the next match.
