It’s no secret — Wolves need every point, and every bit of luck, they can get as they fight for their lives at the bottom of the Premier League table.
The Old Gold welcomed Arsenal to Molineux for an exciting matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Vitor Pereira named a strong starting lineup to face Arsenal in the hope his side would put in a good performance and damage the Gunners’ title hopes.
One player had another afternoon to forget though. Slammed by his own fans, Wolves’ Hwang Hee-chan’s days in the Midlands look to be numbered.

Wolves fans had enough of Hwang Hee-chan
Hwang was named on the bench against Arsenal.
The South Korean was called into action early on though. Jorgen Strand Larsen was forced off with an injury after just 32 minutes.
For Hwang, this presented him with an opportunity to repay fans following several underwhelming performances, unfortunately, it was more of the same from the misfiring 28-year-old though.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was shown a straight red card for a foul on Matt Doherty just 10 minutes after Hwang’s introduction. The one-man advantage boosted the home team but it didn’t take long for frustration to spread around Molineux.
Hwang picked the ball up on the left flank and had plenty of open space to run into.

The forward took a heavy second touch and couldn’t keep up as the ball ran out of play and for a goal kick, and fans online wasted no time in telling the South Korea international exactly what they thought.
“Where the hell was Hwang running to there?” one fan asked on X.
“Hwang Hee Chan is so bad,” another wrote.
“Hwang is truly terrible, Strand Larsen didn’t have too much impact prior to his injury but I am baffled at Hwang’s lack of feel for the game,” a third posted.
Another added: “Hwang is the worst player I’ve ever seen.”
While another very simply said: “Hwang is so s**t.”
Another damning assessment from one of the side’s most out-of-form players.
Summer transfer needed
Hwang is under contract at Wolves until 2028, and even then, the club can trigger an additional year. An awful period of form suggests they’re very unlikely to do that though.
Hwang was a transfer target for West Ham when former manager Julen Lopetegui was in charge. Talk of a move to London has quietened down now Graham Potter has taken over, but Fosun should still try to find other suitors in time for the summer.
It isn’t just fans who want a sale — Hwang looks like he needs a new challenge too. The 28-year-old is clearly struggling and would benefit from a change of scenery as he approaches what should be his prime years.
