Wolves fans all in agreement about Hwang Hee-chan vs Newcastle – one point is made clear

Wolves were beaten 3-0 by Newcastle United in the Premier League and Hwang Hee-chan was questioned for his performance once more.

Vitor Pereira suffered sleepless nights ahead of this fixture, and he would have found out why after being on the receiving end of an Alexander Isak masterclass.

Isak scored twice and assisted once to condemn Wolves to their second Premier League defeat on the bounce, which saw them slip into the relegation zone.

While Isak ran the show for the hosts, showcasing his quality against Pereira’s men, Hwang Hee-chan was at the opposite end of the spectrum after producing another shocking display in Wolves’ 3-0 loss against Newcastle.

Wolves fans react to ‘abysmal’ Hwang Hee-chan display vs Newcastle

Hwang looked like he’d turned a corner during the first couple of matches of Pereira’s reign, scoring against Manchester United and Tottenham.

However, Hwang produced a terrible performance against Nottingham Forest and followed that up with an even worse display at Bristol City, as fans called for Wolves to sell Hwang after full-time.

Despite Matheus Cunha returning from his ban, Pereira chose to start the 28-year-old over his Brazilian talisman at St James’ Park, and it proved to be an awful decision.

The confidence-shot Wolves player was at fault for the first goal the visitors conceded, gifting the ball away cheaply deep in Newcastle’s half, with supporters slamming his error on X.

“Who in their right mind turned down £25m for Hwang?” one supporter questioned while another said: “Is Hwang just trying to ruin the club because we sacked Gary?”

“Hwang simply has to come off, abysmal,” a third commented.

“Take Hwang off now please,” another fan replied.

“If Hwang sees the second half it’s a complete and utter mockery of us all,” a sixth said while a seventh pointed out what a poor signing he’s been.

Hwang Hee-chan’s statistics vs Newcastle

The fans demanding Hwang to be taken off at half-time got their wish as Cunha was introduced.

However, whilst the 25-year-old made a huge difference from the bench, he couldn’t help his side rescue a point against a resurgent Magpies.

Supporters were just happy to see the back of Hwang, who produced another horrendous display in the Premier League, as highlighted by his stats from the game.

With Hwang attracting interest from West Ham and other clubs this month, supporters would like him to be sold, although it appears Wolves want to keep him.
